Star Wars

Here I created my own 'Star Wars Rogue One' Poster. It is a mixture of 5 layers, The main character, the title, the star background, the fog and the lens flare. I think this poster works well as a teaser poster because I could see it in a series of posters like they released for the previous movies. The target audience is aimed at males, females, under 25's and over 25's, which is called The four quadrants.

If I had more time I would of added a few space ships, found a higher quality image of the main character because it looks a bit blurry, some advertising information (when its coming out), also I would of fixed a few minor errors, such as where the fog ends theirs a line going across the poster, I would of faded that out. I am pleased with the layout design, I like how the main character is in the rule of thirds, which then shows of the title nice and effectively. Also I like the use of the lens flare which is located at the top right diagonally pointing to the bottom left. I did this because it brings the poster to life.

Design briefs

This design brief is about media. I like the layout because its nice, tidy, basic and easy to read. The colour scheme is just a dull grey, I would make it a bit more attractive, maybe a picture? But I do like its basicness, not hard to read. I also like how theirs a shadow behind the paper, makes it look like it coming off the table.

This design brief is more colourful than the first one. They are using few shades of blue, which is very effective. It's about indoor air quality, that's why its blue, and because blue is a fresh colour. The layout is more attractive than the Media brief. It has a basic design and is easy to read too. The problem is that the title doesn't have any capital letters -  'design brief'.

This design brief is about fashion, its also sponsored by New Look. The layout is very basic and bland (Black and White). I like how the logos are at the top and are very neat. The text is split into different paragraphs and is very small, which makes it hard to read.

Sound

1:24 - 2:18

This clip is from the Doctor Who movie 'The Day of the Doctor' as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations. There are may channels of sound, such as dialogue, soundtrack, sound effects. First off you can hear bird song, this is because there in a forest full of nature. The soundtrack starts when both Doctors look eye to eye. The music is, I guess comical, its not serious, its more jokey and awkward sounding. This is because the two Doctor's meet for the first time and don't know what to expect. The dialogue is a mixture of loud and quite talking. The 11th Doctor gets louder as he suddenly moves closer to the 10th Doctor. We have sound effects like the buzzing of the sonic screwdrivers, high pitch buzzing in two different frequency's. Also the rustling of the leaves when the Doctor moves around.

The Importance of Demographics

                                                       The Importance of Demographics

Demographics are important because they give information and statistics about the                              population in a particular area. Demographic information can include age, income, gender,                  race, education level, shopping habits, marital status and many other types of information.

Demographics can influence research. It breaks down information into different sections,                    which makes it simpler to record and study. By researching particular demographics you can                determine promotions, pricing and sort customer groups based on needs and interests.

Interesting Way of Presenting Data.

Presenting Data

For this task I had to find away of presenting data about how many people did what in the              class when they didn't have a pen.  The way I showed my data in a imaginative way is by                    drawing a picture of a hand holding a pen, with another picture on top describing what its about. Example, "The teacher should have some spare pens", I would draw a plus symbol with pens around it. Also another example, "Be excused once, but have a disciplinary the next time", I would draw a angry teacher with devil horns crossing her arms. Over all I am pretty happy of what I created. What I would change next time is making it a bit more neater and smoother because it looks like a school kid just did it, which actually makes sense. Also if I had more time I would have made the shading more tidier and less rough looking.

The yellow shading describes the percentage of who chose what. Also I put the percentages in numbers on the hand as well.

Peer Assessment (28/09/2016)

 Religious and Satanic

1) I like the way it has writing in-between the video to explain whats happening.
2) I like the black and white effect to make it look old.

Improve feedback

1) The writing didn't start with capital letters.
2) The camera was slightly wonky

Peer Assessments

The reason we give peer assessments is because it gives ideas, inspiration and both negative and positive feedback.  Also it gives people different opinions about the work you made. This will help
improve the film maker for next time, only if you take on board the subjective criticism.
